Customers are searching. Are they finding you?

Most start with a search: on Google, on Google Maps, or more and more by asking an AI assistant.

  • Google search

    For example: “emergency plumber austin”

They type what they need and call someone from the first page of results.

  • Google Maps

    For example: “plumber near me”

Google shows a map with a few nearby businesses, their stars and their reviews.

  • AI assistants

For example: “Who's a good plumber in Austin?”

More and more people ask an assistant like ChatGPT and get back a short list of names.

If your business isn't one of the names they see, the call goes to someone else. Fyndable checks all three for you, the same way every week.

Use of ChatGPT and other AI tools for local recommendations rose from 6% to 45% in a year, in a 2026 survey of 1,002 US consumers.

What you get every week

With a paid plan (opening soon), we check your searches again every week and update your dashboard. Here's what you'll see, shown with Riverside Plumbing, a made-up business in Austin, TX.

Your Fyndability Score

One number from 0 to 100 for how easy you are to find, built only from what we actually saw: Google search 30%, Google Maps 30%, AI answers 25% and Website health 15%. Moves of 3 points or less show as “about the same”, so you hear about real changes, not noise.

How the score works

Where you show up

Where each of your searches stands on Google, Google Maps and AI assistants: your position, or how many AI answers named you, as in the example at the top of this page.

Who's found instead

The businesses customers find for your searches, ranked by their share of what customers see. For each one you also see its Maps rating, how many AI answers named it, and its best spots on Google and Maps.

An email when something changes

A short weekly email with what changed since last week and the one thing to do next.

What to fix first, with the proof

A short to-do list, most important first. Each item shows what we found and comes with plain steps, often with the exact text to copy and a link to where to do it.

Questions you may have

What's in the free scan?

We check up to 15 of your searches on Google and Google Maps, ask OpenAI (the company behind ChatGPT) and Perplexity up to 8 of them, and read your website. You get your Fyndability Score, the businesses customers find instead of you, and your first to-do list. You don't need a card.

Do I need to know anything about SEO?

No. Everything is in plain English: where you're found, who's found instead, and what to do next, with the steps written out.

How much time does it take each week?

A few minutes to see where you stand. Each to-do says how long it takes: a few minutes, an hour or two, or a bigger job.

Will you change my website?

No. Fyndable never logs in to your website or changes it. We tell you what to change and where, and you, or whoever looks after your site, make the change. Plenty of fixes don't involve your website at all, like your Google Business Profile, directory listings and reviews.

Can you promise more calls, or a top spot on Google?

No, and be careful with anyone who does. Nobody controls what Google shows or what AI assistants say. Fyndable shows you where you stand and what's worth doing first, then checks your fixes on your next scan.

How do you check AI assistants?

We ask them the questions your customers would ask, with your city in the question, through each company's official API with web search on. We ask each question more than once, the same way every week, because the answers vary from one run to the next.

Google's AI Overviews, AI Mode and Gemini aren't measured yet.

Someone using the ChatGPT, Perplexity or Claude app can get a different answer: the apps also look up map listings and reviews, add their own instructions and personalize. So treat our results as a guide to how AI assistants answer, not a copy of what any one customer sees.

How we measure, in detail
Which searches do you check?

We suggest searches from your services and the areas you serve, written the way customers type them, like “water heater repair austin”. You can change them before your first scan. Searches for your own business name count for less in your score, because nearly every business shows up for its own name.

Is Fyndable a marketing agency?

No. We don't do the work for you. We show you where you stand and what to do about it, so you can do it yourself or hand it to someone. If you already pay an agency to look after this, you may not need us.

What happens after the free scan?

Your results stay in your account, and you can come back to them any time. Paid plans, with a new scan every week, open soon.

What if something can't be checked?

We say so. If Google, Google Maps or an AI assistant couldn't be checked in a scan, your dashboard tells you what was missed, and your score is worked out only from what was measured. We never fill a gap with a guess.

A note from Derek

I built Fyndable for people who run their own business and don't have an agency handling their marketing.

Your customers look for you on Google, on Google Maps, and more and more by asking AI assistants. The hard part isn't knowing that. It's knowing whether they actually find you, who they find instead, and which of the endless “you should really…” tips is worth an afternoon of your time.

Fyndable answers that every week, in plain English. It checks the searches customers use to find businesses like yours, shows you the proof, gives you a short list of what to fix first, and then checks again to see whether it worked. It never changes your website, and it will never promise you a ranking. It just tells you where you stand and what to do next.
